MOM'S APPLE PIE

I can't stop thinking about getting my hands all over Tammy Pies. She is beautiful! Can we get training stuff about Tammy, to find out how she gets such a perfect, fit body? What's her future plans?

Not to return your phone calls! We are certainly going to try to do a series of training articles with Tammy, as we agree with you! Tammy is a competitor, but we know the IFBB won't drug test the women, and Tammy is not about to kill herself, just too place in the top 5. Tammy is a businesswoman has developed her own tanning products, called ELITE TAN.

She told us, "When I competed, for the first time, I found out the tanning products were horrible. They dried my skin, producing a very unnatural look. The stuff ran and streaked, under the hot lights. My Elite Tan is natural, for a perfect look on stage. My Competition Bronze and Ultimate Competition Bronze products produce an intense, dark color. They do not take hours to apply. I have a Body Bronzer, which is a portable HVLP spray system that gives a you a flawless tan in minutes. It's quick, and you won't believe how easy. For "stage sheen", my ultimate finish posing oil is great, no rubbing -- no more messy hands".

ENGINEERED BODY

I know you used MET-Rx to win Mr. America Over 40. Which of their products now, are best to gain muscle fast?

Yeah, over-40, like 40 years ago. I would say RTD 51, for fast protein absorption, because it's liquid protein, the original white packet powder, for anti-catabolism, and Amped RTD, for mindblowing workout energy.

Go to www.metrx.com and see their ads in Planet Muscle magazine.

PTA PUMPS YOU UP!

On April 1st, I became a certified trainer with the Private Trainers Association. I heard about the PTA in Planet Muscle. The best thing was that I got to work with Mike Sable, Laura Mak and Sherry Goggin.

Well as the song says, "2 out of 3 ain't bad"! The PTA is starting a special 12 week certification course at Gold's Gym, Venice CA. Lots of the IFBB pros will be on hand for this. For more information, call Joe Antouri at (818) 970-8618.

NSP OUT OF BUSINESS?

In your March issue, you said NSP is out of business. Was that a clever ploy to get them to advertise in Planet Muscle, because I order protein from them every month! How is this possible?

Because I'm an idiot? I made a mistake, they are still in business. Readers, for information on NSP, you can call either Ron Kosloff at (313) 372-1807, or Dave Draper at (888) 466-9185.

NO LIVER ULTRASOUND!

I am 41 and have been training hard for 14 years. I had my blood tested and my MD told me he wants to do a liver ultrasound as my creatine was high at 1.2, and something called transamase was high, at 80. I take Beverly proteins. My testosterone was only 495 and he says I don’t need any extra, but I heard 850 is good. What’s going on?

Nothing! Your doctor said creatinine and transaminase. Creatinine is a metabolic byproduct produced in energy production cycles, and is filtered from blood by your kidneys, for urinary excretion. Most up-to-date upper lab SMA normal ranges are now 1.5 units. Transaminases are liver enzymes involved in catalyzing nutrients induction and deanimation and transamination of dietary nitrogen.

These enzymes can run 20-100% higher than the upper limits of normal (50 60), in very hard training athletes, with muscle. Your MD is only being cautious, but you do not yet need an ultrasound, at least until you test again, after 7-10 days of full muscle rest.

It’s the only way to get an accurate test! 850 is a great T level, but only 10% of all males are this high naturally, and almost all are 16-25 years old! While an ideal T level may be 500-600, your T is about above average for your age and training status. When muscle breaks down and re-builds, free T, is bound up out of blood, to support muscle growth. Severe over-training drives T way down. Don't worry, you are healthy!

CANCEL SEX MANIAC'S SUB TO PLANET MUSCLE!

My son just turned 17 and I found your magazine under his bed. This has too much sex in it and I want you to cancel his subscription. I do not want my son thinking about sex all the time.

Is a women’s backside the only thing you think about? Pretty much, but I also think about their frontside. I hate to tell you this, but your son is going to think about sex all the time at 17, especially if he must hide his magazines under the bed. Just be thankful this babe is not his bench press partner! Your money is on its way.
